May 1st Round-Up

Gym:

Annoying gym session this morning - the woman two machines away, who 3 days ago was snogging her man in the stretching area, was arguing about with her ex (on her mobile) while tying up the machine! I love a good divorce story BUT not at 7am, certainly not while working out and why on earth would you use your phone in the gym?!

She also meandered through her work out, while driving the rest of us mad! :-( 

But I still managed this:

Motion Assist machine - bit like a cross-trainer: 20min, 250 kCal and 1.8miles
Russian twists: 3 sets of 20 with 5 kg weight
Ab crunches: 3 sets of 20 with 5kg weight
Clams: 3 sets of 20 on each side
Triceps extension: 3 sets of 12 with 5kg weight
Chest press on fitness ball: 4 sets of 12 with 10kg weights
Push-ups (full): 1 set of 10, 1 set of 7, 1 set of 5
Plank on Power Plate: 3 sets of 30 seconds
Wide squat on Power plate: 3 sets of 30 seconds
Calves on Power Plate: 3 sets of 30 seconds
Cool down stretches

Food:

This may be my downfall:

Water at gym: 1 litre

Breakfast
Yoghurt (0% fat, fruit) with 3 teaspoons of Granola sat at my desk
Coffee two pots before lunch (little ones)

Lunch
Home made vegetable curry (next to no fat, only half a potato, a little bit of parsnips... rest all low sugar, high fibre goodness!) and white rice
Can diet coke

Dinner
Pancakes filled with chicken and mushrooms - all low fat and homemade and very filling!

Thought for the afternoon: 'Kill' colleagues wafting Jaffa Cakes at you!
